I was not aware of this artist, which is not surprising as I don't have a very deep knowledge of painting. Interesting to see explicitly and erotic gay art being made in Melbourne in the 80s. The artist is based in Australia but grew up in Chile, so there is an interesting mix of influences in the work including a lot of pop/america. Although its quite an 80s looking book there is something contemporary feeling about it, especially with artists like Tom of Finaland1 and Sadao Hasegawa2 being brought up more regularly in the art world.
